Melanie disappointed as Kaashi ends

Melanie Pais, who was all excited about playing the lead in Kaashi, is disappointed that the serial is being pulled off air.
Still worse is the fact that these days some news reports have carried wrong pictures of her. The article’s on her, but picture is wrong! “Guess there are somebody else’s pictures on the internet under my name, hence the confusion,” says the young actress.Melanie who started her career with the serial Kasturi, always wanted to be an actress, but she never told anyone. “I secretly wished I’d be an actress someday,” she says. She went on to do her chartered accountancy, but got into the world of entertainment before she could complete it. She’s happy with her decision to be an actress today, but agrees that the uncertainties in the telly industry can be unnerving. “Today serials don’t last for more than a few months and it can be very disappointing for actors and everyone connected with the serial. Next time I sign a show, I should ask for a guarantee of six months,” she laughs.
